Legal
Terms of service
Terms for evaluating and using Teev during early access.
Draft — legal review required1. Agreement and eligibility
These terms govern access to Teev’s websites, console, control plane, runner software and related services. By creating or using an account, you agree to them for yourself and, where applicable, the organisation you represent. You must have authority to bind that organisation and be at least 18 years old.
Before publication: identify the contracting legal entity, registered address, company number, governing law and courts.
2. The service
Teev builds benchmark tasks from merged pull requests and coordinates comparisons across coding harnesses, providers and models. Customer-controlled repository work runs on a runner in the customer’s own environment. Teev’s hosted control plane manages accounts, scheduling and bounded result metadata.
Teev is in early access. Features, limits and interfaces may change. Statements labelled illustrative, planned or unbuilt are not service commitments.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information, protect credentials, keep account roles current and promptly report suspected compromise. Workspace Owners and Admins control invitations and access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account except to the extent caused by Teev’s breach of these terms.
4. Your environment and third-party services
You control the runner environment, repositories, GitHub relationship, model-provider accounts, credentials and network policy. You authorise the runner to access the repositories and providers you configure.
Private-repository screening sends linked issue text to a third-party model to rank candidate tasks. Benchmark agents send task content to the model provider configured on your runner. Those services have their own terms and data practices. Teev does not receive your GitHub token, model credentials, private source, patches, logs or full artifacts.
5. Your content and results
You retain rights in your repositories, inputs, benchmark definitions and customer-side artifacts. You grant Teev the limited rights needed to process the account and result metadata you submit and to operate, secure and support the service. Teev does not acquire ownership of your source code or benchmark results.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed to use repository content, issue text, test data and third-party services with Teev.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Teev to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, probe or disrupt systems without authority, evade service limits, share access unlawfully, benchmark systems where testing is prohibited, or introduce secrets or regulated data contrary to your organisation’s policies. Do not attempt to send credentials to the Teev control plane.
7. Teev materials
Teev and its licensors retain rights in the service, software, design, documentation and branding. Subject to these terms, Teev grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service for internal evaluation and business purposes during your account term. Separate licence notices supplied with runner components take precedence for those components.
8. Fees
Teev is currently offered free during early access with no credit card required. Teev will give advance notice and obtain agreement before charging for a previously free service. You remain responsible for costs charged by your cloud, GitHub, model and infrastructure providers.
9. Confidentiality
Each party will protect non-public information received from the other with reasonable care and use it only to perform or receive the service. This does not cover information already known without restriction, independently developed, lawfully received from another source, or public through no breach. Legally required disclosure is permitted after notice where lawful.
10. Availability and security
Teev will use reasonable care to operate the service and the safeguards described on the Security page. No uptime commitment or service-level credit applies unless agreed separately in writing. You remain responsible for backups, runner security and validating outputs before relying on them.
11. Suspension and termination
Teev may suspend access to protect the service, prevent harm, address unlawful use or respond to a material breach. You may stop using Teev at any time and request workspace deletion. Termination does not affect accrued rights, payment obligations or provisions intended to survive.
12. Warranties and liability
Teev does not promise that benchmarks or model outputs are complete, error-free or suitable as the sole basis for procurement, employment, security or production decisions. Early-access service is provided on an “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Before publication: counsel must supply jurisdiction-appropriate warranty exclusions, liability cap, excluded-loss language, indemnities and any mandatory carve-outs. Do not publish this draft as the final contract without them.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms for legal, security or service changes. Material changes will be notified through the service or account email before taking effect where practicable. Questions: hello@teev.ai.
